This moment made my heart beat hard… (as an IT Guy) that maintain critical system 🙂 .

  • When : Sunday, 18 September 2011
  • Clock : 17.00 GMT +7
  • Where : Office, South Jakarta
  • What : Security Update, Windows Update, Add and Change UPS configuration
  • How : Firts update Domain controller, MS Exchange Server and then shutdown. Then Shutdown Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES)
  • Trouble : BES Server (Windows Server 2003) could not start normally : Applying computer settings takes forever about 1 hour.
  • Solution : After maghrib prayer, try not to hard shutdown via machine onn/off button (worry there is hardisk corruption). The solution is using Domain controller, via DOS command line try to use shutdown -i and then select server name that want to shutdown/restart. Done. The server restart normally.
